Brigades. It's located in Victoria near the Coho Ferry terminal in the Inner Harbour.
Looking south from Chin Beach on Vancouver Island to the Olympic Peninsula, which is about 20 miles away. There's a movement to rename this body of water (the Strait of Juan de Fuca), along with the nearby Puget Sound and the Strait of Georgia, the Salish Sea.
The Loss Creek Suspension Bridge on the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail is 200 feet high.
While recently backpacking on the Olympic Peninsula's west coast, we spotted this decaying equipment from the old Starbuck Mine. It's located about 10 miles (16 km) north of Rialto Beach in the Cedar Creek area. Some more pictures are here.

The weather finally turned nice so Jen and I went camping on Galiano Island. We spent some time hanging out and reading books in the sun at Bellhouse Provincial Park.

I think I'll actually miss winter this year. This photo was taken from the Ousel Falls Trail, which is a great place for checking out frozen waterfalls.

I live about five minutes away from Victoria's Inner Harbour and I find that no matter where I want or need to go, I end up at some point walking along the harbor and thinking about life.
