I've Bean Around the World

Bean Around The World (533 Fisgard Street / 250-386-7115) is always busy, and rightfully so. This hip cafe located in China Town gets the whole concept of coffee shop right – a cool and comfortable place to hang out while absorbing strong caffeine. With a gigantic world map of coffee trade routes on the wall, a boat hanging from the ceiling, and Chinese lettering on windows, Bean The World seems like it could be an outpost on a distant island where sailors and travelers make plans and hatch schemes - which, I guess, it is.
