The Taproom

The Blackfoot River Brewing Company's taproom (54 South Park Avenue / 406-449-3005) is the place to go in downtown Helena after work for a pint of the good stuff. The taproom is small, cozy, and unpretentious - which is how it should be. The focus is the beer, of course, so be sure to try a pint of the Woollybugger or the Double Black Diamond Extreme Stout. Growlers to go are cheap on Wednesdays and there’s often live Irish music on Tuesdays. Be warned that state brewery laws make it close early.
