This past weekend the Victoria Tall Ship Festival and 250,000 or so extra people sailed into my fair little town to enjoy the art of wind powered travel machines. In the top picture, the Mexican naval ship Cuauthmoc is tied up in front of the Empress hotel. The black trimmed ship in the middle picture is the Pallada, a Russian training vessel that sailed from Vladiovostock, Russia. The full rigged ship is 356 feet long and is home to about 150 sailors. The bottom picture features the Coho Ferry and an Inner Harbor Ferry.
